Explore the Arts© – This program, offered by PAEP, is a unique opportunity for southeastern PA teachers to attend cultural events and receive Act 48 Credit. This program allows teachers to attend visual or performing arts venues, and receive Act 48 credit hours.

Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA) - Arts Residencies – The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), Arts in Education Division (AIE) provides funding for arts in education programs. The purpose of the AIE Division is to develop and support quality arts education programs in schools and community settings for all Pennsylvanians. The Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership (PAEP) was selected to partner with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts' Arts in Education Division in February 2004. As the PCA regional partner for the Philadelphia, southeastern Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and Bucks counties, PAEP facilitates the process of selecting artists for inclusion in the Directory of Pennsylvania Artists in Education, publishes the directory, and sponsors arts residencies in school and community sites in which teaching artists integrate the arts with academic curricula.

Poetry Out Loud – PAEP produces the regional competition for this national, high school recitation program of the National Endowment for the Arts for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.

 

Scholastic Art and Writing Awards – PAEP is the regional partner with the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers in the production of this national competition for middle school and high school students. PAEP works in collaboration with the Philadelphia Writing Project, University of Pennsylvania to adjudicate student work, produce a regional award ceremony, and exhibition of the gold and silver key awardees.
