Calling all high school poetry enthusiasts! There’s still time to sign up for the 2024-2025 Poetry Out Loud Regional Competition!
Teachers, register your students today by emailing skattler-gold@paep.net to receive the necessary registration form. Forms are due this Friday, December 6th, so don’t delay!
Why Participate?
Poetry Out Loud is a national program celebrating the power of spoken word and performance, inspiring students to engage with great poetry. Our regional winner will have the chance to compete on the state and national levels!
State winners receive $200 and an all-expenses-paid trip (with an adult chaperone) to Washington, DC, to compete at the National Finals.
The state winner’s representing school or organization will receive $500 for poetry materials.
State runners-up will receive $100, and their schools/organizations will receive $200 for poetry materials.
A total of $50,000 in prizes and school stipends will be awarded at the National Finals, including a $20,000 award for the National Champion!
